Subject: MXV 450 – Installing the chassis reinforcement tie rod
We have found from the technical checks carried out on product performance that there is
a potential problem with the chassis on a production lot of MXV 450 vehicles which might
compromise safety.

As this is a problem that can jeopardise the safety of the user, we have set up a Recall
Campaign in order to eliminate the above described defect from the circulating vehicles
and those you have in stock. The technical details of the type of measures to be carried
out are attached to this bulletin. (attachment 1)
Do NOT sell Aprilia MXV 450 before checking via the SOM or GGP system if the vehicle
in your warehouse is one on the recall list
Since this is not a type approved vehicle, being suitable only for racing on a closed circuit
(not registered), our company does not have all the addresses of the Customers who have
bought an Aprilia MXV 450. We will be sending a recall letter only to the customers you
have recorded in your system, asking them to have the problem seen to as quickly as
possible going through the official network.
It is IMPORTANT to stress that if you have delivered a vehicle to one of your customers
without recording the sale it will be your sole responsibility to warn him about the
recall campaign, sending him the letter as per annex 2 to assure him of the
assembly of the reinforcement as mentioned above.
